Kai Kölmel is the Vice President of the Renewable Energy Division of Siemens. He started his career in 1991 in Siemens South Africa with functions including: Corporate Controlling, Head of Strategy, Finance Manager for Automation & Drives Sales. In 1997 he joined Siemens Germany as PM & Sales for Industrial Solutions & Services - Cement Industry. From 1999 to 2002, he was appointed CFO of Courbon S.A. in St. Etienne (France). He returned to Germany, as General Manager Finance Industrial Solutions & Services - Infrastructure
Projects until 2005. He then joined Siemens’ Corporate Development Strategy as Vice President - Energy Sector. Since April 2008 he has been Vice President Business Development - Energy Sector, Renewable Energy of Siemens Germany, responsible for the Hydro Power and Ocean Power activities.
