Maintenance on SeaGen

Tidal stream systems are located in very high energy flow environments meaning that installation and maintenance can be very challenging.

The ability of both SeaGen S and SeaGen U to raise its turbines out of the water means that the majority of maintenance can be carried out on site.

This on-site maintenance reduces repair time, maximises operational availability and also reduces the need for expensive vessels.

The machine can be shut down from full rated output in less than three seconds, even with the current at full flow.
